Nana and Poppaw (Hoffman) came to visit the first week in April. We visited the Prospect Park Zoo.

We got the canoe out for the first time in years and drove north of the city. Jae didn't have any bait but just had to practice his casting.

The Elementary class had a Day of Service this past Sunday. We held it at the Storefront. We made sack lunches for a soup kitchen, made cards to send to a children's hospital and had a bake sale to buy a goat and 2 chickens for a needy family through World Vision.

We set a goal of $100 for the bake sale. That's how much a goat and 2 chickens costs. But we ended up making over $180! The kids are so excited. Now they have to agree on what to buy with the extra money.

Paul's now 38! We celebrated with a yummy cheesecake.

Other news:
-Jae's eye surgery is scheduled for May 7th.
-2 of the babies were born the week after Easter (the twins).
-We're still waiting for the other one (Dawn's). Her due date is April 30th but Paul's hoping she'll have the baby today (his birthday!)
