Some of our new neighbors! These pictures were taken the first week of April. As of the end of April there was one lone turkey wandering around at all times of the day like he/she's looking for his/her friends. :-(
We needed a picture of the back of the house when it wasn't in shadows for the listing. We got it listed mid-April and really expected to get an offer right away but we didn't.
For Paul's birthday he wanted to go on a hike to condition for the Men's hike the following week so we went to Dupont State park.
The picnic table was taped off due to covid but we had a better view from this old chimney and it made a perfect bench to each our lunch.
We finally got an offer on the house on Paul's actual birthday! Paul was leaving for the men's hike the next day so he wrote up the counter offer and left his phone with me to deal with it. The buyer accepted the counter offer so we're now in contract! Best birthday present. And I'm so ready to be done mowing 2 yards every week. It takes me forever! We should close by May 31st.
I hate leaving this clematis at the old house just when it's taking off!
But I have this one at the new house and it's full of buds.
I hope I can keep these rose bushes alive!

Paul's the one on the 4 day backpacking trip but I'm the one that got injured. At least I hope I'm the only one. I twisted my ankle while working in the yard last night. Thankfully I had a hoe with me and was able to use it to get back to the house. Hoping it heals soon. There's so much work to do and we go on vacation in a couple of weeks. I just got a new bike (early birthday gift) and I want to be able to hike and bike. Daniel's moving home from college this week. And there's so much gardening I want to do and it's a beautiful day. I'm thankful our bedroom and bathroom are on the 1st floor in this house!
