Our visit to the Mayo Clinic for a second opinion was November 15. We were in Minnesota the 14th-19th. November in Minnesota is very different that November in South Carolina! Below is the view from the balcony of our Air BnB.

At the clinic the doctor was pretty sure that the diagnosis was correct but wanted to rerun the tests just to be sure. So we went back again and then again on Friday to get the final diagnosis. While we were waiting we walked around Rochester a little. Not much because it was so cold!
And the final diagnosis was ALS. It was hard to hear.
Since our flight home was out of Minneapolis, we decided to spend a little time at the Mall of America since neither of us had been there before and it was too cold to spend any time outside.

A few days after we returned from the Mayo Clinic we drove to Ky to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Hoffmans.
Poppaw's birthday is Nov. 20th.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at Ryan and Brittany's new house but I didn't take any pictures. :-(
Opening Christmas presents
Many in the extended Hoffman family were still social distancing because of Covid so we had our big family get together in the church fellowship hall. It was nice to see everyone together again after so long.
