Since our vacation this year would not include visiting a beach I really wanted a beach day/day away. I also really wanted to visit the Mt. Pleasant Won by One class and meet the new coordinator. Seacoast paid for a hotel for me to be able to spend a weekend in Mt. Pleasant! The weather was perfect for my beach day.
I spent the day with God, reading and praying. And walking this path back and forth from the beach to the park with a public bathroom! :-)
Summer happened to be in Charleston for some doctor's appointments so we got to visit the Won by One class together!
I took notes on their classroom for ideas for ours and especially for when we get a building. A couple of guys from church are planning to build us some of these shelves that can be closed and locked during the week!
When I got home Paul had a surprise for me!
For our date night in July we saw a musical about Carol King at a local theater--Center Stage.
