Jae turned 11 in May and got the board game Risk for his birthday. In our first game he conquered the world!

Nana and Poppaw Hoffman came to visit.

Daniel started school in February. He's going to a private Lutheran school. We are very happy with the school and Daniel loves being with other kids his age. In May he got to march in the Norwegian Day parade with his school. He was so excited to be IN a parade!

I'm giving gardening a try this summer. I usually kill everything by the time the weather gets hot. But these self watering containers Paul made for me are supposed to keep that from happening! So far they are looking great. This is a picture from the beginning of June. The plants are huge now and it looks like we'll have plenty of tomatoes and cucumbers later this summer!

We got one last visit with the Paudler family before they move to Italy. Well, everyone but Tom. We're not sure when we'll get to see them again so we were so happy that this visit worked out amidst our families' crazy schedules and sicknesses!
