The weather was beautiful during spring break. I had plans of spending the break at the parks, zoos and other outdoor places. Unfortunately on the second day, I twisted my ankle. After a few days of rest I was able to walk as far as the nearest park and let the boys run around for a few hours each day. But by Thursday I was feeling better so we ventured out to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens with some friends.

This past Sunday we had over 50 people show up at Coney Island for 2 baptisms.
This was our biggest turn out for a baptism, ever!

One of the teens (who was baptized last summer) reading scripture.

Praying for Nanna

Praying for Jonathan

Jonathan started coming to the youth group after a summer outreach (I think it was a soccer clinic). He's been coming for about a year.

Nanna's been coming for a while (maybe almost 2 years) and is very involved at Crossroads.

Jonathan's family (and Dan, the youth minister). Jonathan is the only Christian in his family.
House Update
A few weeks ago we were told that the banks were almost ready to set a closing date and they were estimating mid-April. We got excited! But then our bank came back with a list of repairs that have to be made on the house before we could close. It was a long list. We asked that some of the things (cosmetic) be taken off the list and had to wait over Easter break to find out if the owner would be able to pay for any of the repairs. Finally last Thurs. we heard that he couldn't but that his bank was going to credit us the money for the repairs at closing! They are paying us for things that would have to be done anyway! So Paul got to work right away making most of the repairs. Now we are just waiting on a contractor to build the steps to the backyard. Once that is done and everything is reinspected I think we'll have a closing date. We're hoping for the end of April! Please pray that interest rates don't go up before we close.
