September

 Celebrating with the cousins....

Nana and Poppaw came to visit over Labor Day for a few days.   We all went to an Apple orchard, picked some apples, had lunch and had some cider and apple goodies.

I really need to take some more pictures of the house now that we're moved in.  But I did get a few of the living room one day.  Hopefully we'll get some pictures on the wall behind the couch soon and some throw pillows made.

This year is our 22nd anniversary.  22 years!  Paul planned a weekend away for us in the mountains of North Carolina.  Just a little over an hour away from Greenville.   Carey and Tom and Grandma took care of the boys for the weekend.  Paul rented us a cute little cabin on a mountain.  I wish I'd taken some pictures of the cabin.  On Saturday we took a bus tour in Dupont State Park.  Tour de Falls.  We enjoyed eating at restaurants in downtown Brevard, browsing "salvage" shops and hanging out at the cabin.
 Triple Falls

 High Falls
You can barely see the covered bridge at the top of the falls.  We drove over it.  It was build in 1999 when a private developer was planning to build a housing development for the area around the falls.  That never happened and now the land is a part of the park.

 Bridal Veil Falls
According to the tour brochure: "The upper waterfall was used in "Last of the Mohicans". ... A pool of water on the left of the base of the falls was used to film the scene from the "Hunger Games" in which Katniss jumps into a pool of water after being burned."

 Lake Julia

It rained all weekend.  Most of the time it was just a mist.  That's ok, it meant the tour wasn't crowded and I had good curly hair days all weekend. :-) It was a wonderful anniversary weekend.
