Diane had never been to Brevard, NC. It's one of our favorite places to visit and we decided to take her in the fall when the leaves were changing.
We stopped by Caesar's Head.
Then we visited my favorite place there, the salvage/Antique warehouse.
And to see the waterfall in the State Park.
Another purpose for the trip was to take some pictures to hopefully be Daniel's Senior pictures. I think I got some good ones.
Last winter we had an ice storm that took out powerlines and once it started to melt and slide off of our room, took out our gutters. So Paul decided we needed ice breakers on our roof before this winter.
Because our roof is so steep and a metal (slippery) he needed something to lift him up high enough to install them. So he rented this thing. One day he got stuck and it wouldn't lower him back down. I tried messing with the controls but nothing would work. Thankfully a neighbor was walking by and after trying several things they decided it must not be level so the neighbor lifted one of the feet and it started working again and Paul was able to get down. Don't know what we would have done if the neighbor hadn't been walking by! :-)
