Paul's 50th Birthday

Paul and Ryan Stockton planned to go on a week long canoe/camping trip to celebrate their birthdays this year. (Ryan turned 40.)  But because of the pandemic they had to postpone their plans for later in the summer.  So we had to find other ways to make Paul's 50th special.  We had his birthday cheese cake on Sunday, even though his birthday wasn't until Tuesday, so we could share with Grandma.
His request was for a white chocolate cheesecake.  I think it turned out pretty good!

Snickerdoodle fudge from his mom!
On Tuesday night we had his birthday dinner: lazanga.  And more cheesecake.
His combined gift from us, the Paudlers and Grandma was a camp stove.
I tried to be creative with his card. :-)  He wasn't impressed.
I had created a Birthday event on Facebook for him asking people to write messages or post videos.  He enjoyed seeing all the birthday greetings.
His mom and I organized a Zoom surprise party with family and friends from NYC.  He loved visiting with everyone!
I think he had a pretty good birthday even if his big trip had to be postponed.  Hopefully, I'll get to post about his trip later in the summer.
