We took our first field trip with the King's Choice Leah home school group to the Brooklyn Bridge park.
We walked along the park and ended up at the pier with all the sports fields and playground.
The kids played soccer and basketball with a beautiful view of the city.
This fall we were all sick several times. The first round was the flu. Daniel slept on the air mattress in the living room for several days. One day he took a shower to cool down his fever and then laid down to sleep. This is what his hair looked like when he got up! :-) He will probably be mad at me for posting this picture some day!
Soccer with the 68th Precinct
Daniel is #19
This was the last year that Daniel will play soccer with the 68th Precinct. It will be the last of lots of things for our family. And 2015 will hold a lot of new things for us. After months (years) of praying and seeking God's will we decided (in September) that it was time for us to leave Crossroads and NYC. It was a very hard decision for us. We love Crossroads and we will really miss our friends and family here. We will miss our neighbors. We will miss being able to walk everywhere. We will miss so many things about Brooklyn, NY and Crossroads. But we really feel that God is calling us away to something different. We aren't sure where he is calling us TO yet, though. After telling everyone in late September and October, we began the process of preparing the house to sell. Once the house sells, we will move to Greenville, SC for the next 6-12 months while Paul figures out what he will do next. His sister and her family live there and it's closer to my family in KY.
