The view across the street from the Dollar General in Orderville.
Above: Orderville, Utah.
Below: the house we rented in Orderville. I wish I'd taken pictures inside. It was really nice.
Daniel was feeling sick on Monday, so Paul and I went to some places nearby so we could check on him. This was at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park.
We stopped by this Ancient History museum in a cave.
Entrance to what used to be the dance hall but is now the museum with all the radioactive rocks this guy collected.A former Steelers player bought a cave in the 50s and turned it into a bar. Movie stars who were in Kanab filming westerns would come to the bar. Supposedly John Wayne and Ronald Reagan were customers.
Parry Lodge in Kanab. Where movie stars and movie casts stayed while filming Westerns.
Little Hollywood. Old Westerns movie sets.
Man made caves
Paul and I went on a hike to a slot canyon near our air b&b
Daniel was still feeling awful that afternoon when we got home. This was my attempt to get a picture to upload for the Teladoc appointment. We were sure he had strep throat and the doctor prescribed some antibiotics. It took us forever on the phone with the teladoc customer service to find a pharmacy anywhere near where we were or were going the next day to have the prescription sent to! We really were out in the middle of nowhere! We finally found one one that we'd pass on our drive to Moab for the second part of our trip the next day.
