For vacation this year we planned a trip to Utah. Alot of time, money and preparation went into this trip. The plan was to fly to Las Vegas. Rent a car and drive to Orderville, Utah. This was a good halfway place between Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park. We would stay there for 5 days then drive to Moab, Utah. This is near Canyonlands and Arches National Parks and some other places of interest. And we'd see a lot on the drive in between. We'd be there for 4 days then drive back to Vegas and fly home. Well, the first 4 days of our trip went as planned....
Checkerboard Mesa
It's really hard to get all the pictures in the correct order since I'll pulling from my phone, Paul's phone and my camera. This hike was actually the first thing we did in Zion. Paul really wanted to do this hike through a river. Well, the water was really cold! And I was really nervous about twisting my ankle. I didn't make it very far before turning around and trying to thaw out my feet. But Paul and Daniel continued the hike. If we ever do this again I want to rent the hiking boots and special socks alot of the people were wearing.
