Churches.....-June 16th-Part 2

The gardens at the Church of  Beatitudes are beautiful!

Built in 1938 and designed by Antonio Barluzzi.

 Sea of Galilee

Not one of our lunches but I had to get a picture of a St. Peter's fish that someone else in the group was eating!

In all of these places, Mark took off his hat to signify that these aren't archaeological sites.  These churches are built to remember these events and the events took place somewhere around here.

 The Nilometer again
The most famous mosaic in the country.  Since the 5th century some have believed that this rock was the "table" where Jesus multiplied the fish and loaves.

Another rock.  This one is associated with Jesus making the disciples breakfast on the beach in
John 21.
This church was built in 1933 on the ruins of a 4th century church. It also remembers Jesus' conversation with Peter in John 21.

There are cats everywhere in Israel.
