June 2013

This year in science we studied land animals.  Back in September, I promised Daniel and year end field trip to the Bronx Zoo to see the animals we studied all year.  He looked forward to it all year!

 The giraffes were his favorite.

The zoo was even more fun than usual since we'd studied about some of these strange animals we'd never paid much attention to before.
Daniel was in charge of this trip, planning our route and leading us all day.

Look out, there's a panther behind you!

For his Gotcha Day this year, Daniel wanted to go to a Christian Concert instead of Chuck E Cheese.  We decided to go to the Creation Festival in PA and go to lots of concerts!  He was excited.

An added bonus of Creation was that there were lots of Christian Colleges there.  Jae got to go to all the booths and got several free pairs of sunglass and Tshirts and be exposed to some colleges he wouldn't have been otherwise.
Oh, and the food court was pretty exciting to the boys!

Daniel was enjoying the Family Force Five concert so much and dancing around.  A lady saw how much he was enjoying it and asked if she could buy the boys one of their CDs!
Toby Mac....one of my favorite concerts.

We had 2 weddings this summer that Paul was officiating.  So we had to buy dress clothes for the boys.  They weren't too excited, especially about the dress shoes but we had to get pictures to show we do dress up!  This is out of order since the wedding happened before both the zoo trip and Creation.  Oops.

Nanna and Caleb's wedding was at the Queens Botanical Garden.
Julie and Hilda were bridesmaids and Hilda translated Paul's words into Chinese.

We sat at the reception with Jose and his sister and some other friends of Nanna and Caleb's.  It was a full Chinese dinner with many, many courses of foods we'd never seen before!
